Amanda Micheli - Director, Producer, DP

Amanda is an award-winning director and cinematographer. She earned an Oscar nomination for LA CORONA, which premiered at Sundance in 2008 before airing on HBO. In 2004, she premiered DOUBLE DARE at Toronto before its PBS and theatrical release. Her first film, JUST FOR THE RIDE, won a student Oscar and IDA Award and aired on PBS.  In 2014, Amanda produced SLOMO, which was Oscar-shortlisted and won best short at the IDA and SXSW. She also co-directed ONE NATION UNDER DOG for HBO and THE SAVE for ESPN. Other credits include: THIN, CAT DANCERS, “30 Days,” and MY FLESH AND BLOOD. Amanda is a past visiting lecturer at Stanford’s MFA film program, a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures and the DGA.

Serin Marshall - Producer

Serin began her career at the award-winning Moxie Firecracker Films, where she worked on numerous HBO films premiering at Sundance, including SHOUTING FIRE: STORIES FROM THE EDGE OF FREE SPEECH, THE FENCE, and the 2012 Emmy-nominated BOBBY FISCHER AGAINST THE WORLD. She also associate produced THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG WITH AUNT DIANE (HBO), and was an archival producer for WONDER WOMEN! THE UNTOLD STORY OF AMERICAN SUPERHEROINES (PBS). She has produced news stories for the GlobalPost, true crime stories for the Discovery Network, and recently produced two short documentaries for Loteria Films and the Center for Investigative Reporting. Before turning to film, Serin worked as a researcher at the Yale School of Management, and as a Princeton-in-Asia Fellow in Thailand. She is a graduate of Brown University.

Morgan Spurlock & Jeremy Chilnick - Executive Producers

Morgan is an Academy Award nominated filmmaker and founder of Warrior Poets, a New York-based production studio. His first film, SUPER SIZE ME, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2004, winning Best Directing honors. The film went on to win the inaugural Writers Guild of America Best Documentary Screenplay award as well as garner an Academy Award nomination for Best Feature Documentary. Since then he has directed, produced, and distributed multiple film and TV projects, including THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER SOLD and WHERE IN THE WORLD IS OSAMA BIN LADEN? Jeremy Chilnick, an Emmy-nominated writer and producer, is Partner and President of Production at Warrior Poets. Since the production studio’s creation, this powerhouse team has produced multiple award winning films, digital series, and television programs, with recent credits including the Oscar shortlisted THE EAGLE HUNTRESS and IDA award-winning CNN series “Morgan Spurlock: Inside Man.”

Greg O'Toole - Editor

Greg O’Toole is an Emmy-nominated editor whose feature documentaries have screened at festivals around the world and premiered on PBS, ESPN, National Geographic, and others. Recent documentary features include AN HONEST LIAR which premiered at Tribeca in 2014, the Emmy-winning AFTER TILLER (PBS), BETTER THIS WORLD, which was nominated for three national Emmys including Best Editing (POV), and THE TWO ESCOBARS called “a miracle in editing” by IndieWire (Cannes/ESPN).

Lisa Fruchtman - Co-Editor

Lisa is an Academy Award-winning editor with documentary roots and an impressive roster of fiction features. Her honors include an Oscar for THE RIGHT STUFF, Academy Award and BAFTA Nominations for Best Editing for both THE GODFATHER PART III and APOCALYPSE NOW, an Emmy Nomination and a Cable ACE Award for TRUMAN. Her other credits include THE WOODSMAN; A LOVE SONG FOR BOBBY LONG; DANCE WITH ME; MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING; THE DOCTOR and CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD. Most recently she produced, directed and edited SWEET DREAMS, a documentary about Rwanda.
